IG China 2025 to forge global trade links in industrial gases

The 2025 China International Exhibition on Gases Technology, Equipment, and Application (IG China) will take place at the Hangzhou International Expo Center from 18th to 20th June 2025. Marking its 25th anniversary, the event is designed to foster international trade collaboration and showcase advancements across the industrial gases sector.

IG China 2025 is set to cover an area of 30,000 square metres, featuring six dedicated zones focused on different segments of the gas industry supply chain. Delegations from global associations, including representatives from the Middle East, Turkey, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, and Russia, are expected to attend, along with buyers with ‘defined procurement objectives.’

UFI accreditation

The 2025 event has earned accreditation from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), marking it as the first gas industry exhibition in China to achieve this recognition. Organised by AIT Events Co., Ltd., now a UFI member, IG China has grown significantly since its inception in 1999.

The UFI certification recognises IG China’s adherence to global standards in organisation, service, and participation metrics. The organisers stated, “This recognition enhances its competitiveness and positions it as a key platform for collaboration, innovation, and sustainable industry growth.”

Since 2023, IG China has conducted international trade missions to Dubai, Bangkok, and Jakarta. These initiatives have played a role in establishing the event as a global trade platform. The 2024 edition attracted professional buyers from over 40 countries, hosting nearly 1,000 international visitors and managing 500 procurement requests.

Innovations and key highlights

The exhibition will introduce the “China IG Industry Chain Clusters eMap”, a digital tool offering comprehensive information on enterprises and their products. Additionally, forums will present insights from international gas associations and Chinese industrial gas clusters.

Special events such as the Indonesia National Day—organised by the Asosiasi Gas Industri Indonesia and the Samator Group—and a China-Korea industry golf tournament aim to enhance international ties.

The event will feature the International Summit on the High-Quality Development of the IG Industry, focusing on technologies for gas production and distribution. Live demonstrations in the Innovation Theater and awards recognising innovative products and applications will also take place.

To highlight the industry’s development, the exhibition will debut a publication, Gas People: A Tribute to China’s Industrial Gas Industry, and host alumni meetups for universities. Interactive activities, such as a gas industry card game tournament, are also planned.
