Hystar AS (Hystar) has awarded thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract to develop an automated electrolyser production line for its new gigawatt (GW) factory in Høvik, Norway.
The new production line is designed to boost efficiency and scale operations, expanding Hystar’s output from 100 megawatt (MW) to 4.5 GW.
According to Hystar, the factory will have a footprint of just 2,500 m², accommodating stack assembly, quality control and testing within a single compact space.
Fredrik Mowill, CEO of Hystar, highlighted the strategic impact of this development, stating, “Implementing our automated GW factory further strengthens Hystar’s ability to deliver competitive and efficient solutions for large-scale green hydrogen projects.”
