Onsite gas generation specialist HyGear has signed a contract to supply hydrogen (H2) to a leading margarine producer in Colombia.
The Netherlands-based business will deliver one of its containerised Hy.GEN systems to CI SIGRA S.A, which will use the machine for the hydrogenation of edible oils and fats.
The Hy.GEN steam reforming technology is expected to significantly reduce hydrogenation costs for SIGRA as it will replace its current electrolyser systems.
