Shanghai Huaxi Chemical Industry Science and Technology Co. Ltd in China recently announced that it has signed a contract with Jiangsu Weiming Petrochemical Co. Ltd for the delivery of a 12,000 Nm3/h hydrogen plant.
Hydrogen will be generated from conversion of natural gas, produced to supply the caprolactam plant of Jiangsu Weiming, a subsidiary of the Taiwan China Petrochemical Development Corporation (CPDC).
The plant is also the first investment project of CPDC in caprolactam in China. Shanghai Huaxi won the contract through a strict competitive bidding process with comparison of technology, commercial and project references.
Shanghai Huaxi says that the project is a good start for the company for 2015, and opens up the Taiwan petrochemical market for it in the future.
