The Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association (FCHEA) has announced that Jeremy Rifkin will open proceedings at this year’s Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy 2011 Conference and Exhibition.
The event is scheduled to take place on 14th February in Washington DC, and will see the renowned author and hydrogen proponent take to the stage. Rifkin was keen to highlight the importance of this event, and indeed this era. He said, “We are poised at the cusp of a significant point in history, a point where a new paradigm in the world’s economic future is about to come to fruition – and hydrogen will be at the centrepiece of that new revolution.”
Rifkin is president of The Foundation on Economic Trends in Washington, DC. He also lectures at the University of Pennsylvania and has acted in an advisory capacity to the European Union for several years. Organisers anticipate that Rifkin will outline the significance of hydrogen fuel cells in transforming the energy sector.
