Finland deep tech company Hycamite has broken ground at Kokkola Industrial Park, Kokkola, Finland, for a Customer Sample Facility aimed at testing the viability of the company’s new methane-splitting technology.
Hycamite’s technology works by decomposing large volumes of methane into its constituent components of hydrogen and carbon, while avoiding the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Once fully completed, the capacity of the CSF is expected to reach 2,000 tonnes of hydrogen and 6,000 tonnes of carbon per year.
