Huntingdon Fusion Techniques (HFT®), the world leader in gas weld purging procedures, has launched its tailor-made Argon Gas Feed Hose, designed to help keep welding zones purged of oxygen (O2).
In order to achieve a clean, oxide free and zero colour weld, the welding zone needs to be completely expelled of O2 when welding metals such as stainless steel, titanium and zirconium – so HFT have devised the Argon Gas Feed Hose to combat this.
The UK-based company have designed a selection of leak tight end fittings, provided for attaching an argon (Ar) gas regulator at one end of the hose, and a 12mm to 12mm quick connect fitting as standard at the other end. The quick connect fitting is designed to join up with all HFT Argweld® Weld Purging Systems.
Conforming to the British BS EWN 599 Quality Standard, the hoses each have a temperature range from -30oC up to 80oC, and a safety factor of three times working pressure – 20 bar or 300 pounds per square inch (psi).
