Hoffer Flow Controls, founded by Ken Hoffer, was incorporated in 1969 in the state of New Jersey. Hoffer’s initial experience was in the field of cryogenic flow measurement and expanded into industrial process flow measurement.
Hoffer Flow Controls has been designing and manufacturing quality turbine flow meters and related process instrumentation for 49 years and is now headquartered in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, employing approximately 90 employees and with a representative network both in the US and internationally.
For the first 10 years in business, Hoffer Flow Controls specialized in custody transfer cryogenic flow measurement systems. The company pioneered the use of the turbine flow meter in cryogenics. During the late 1970s the company began to diversify into other markets, including oil patch, chemical and petrochemical, aerospace and energy measurement. Today, Hoffer sells its products in more than 60 countries worldwide.
