Haskel Hydrogen Systems’ hydrogen station and dispenser technology is set to be deployed at Australia’s first commercial, hydrogen-powered heavy vehicle refuelling station at Port Kembla, New South Wales.
The hydrogen specialist on Wednesday (1st Nov) confirmed that it has received an order from Australian-owned gases company Coregas for its technology, which will be used to fill a number of fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), including Hyon Hymax-450 prime movers.
In addition to the station and dispenser technology, Haskel will also provide the hydrogen refuelling station which will be located at Coregas’ Port Kembla facility. Once operational, the system will take hydrogen from Coregas’ plant, compress it at 350bar, and deliver it to a dispenser at the vehicle fuelling station 50 miles away.
Stephen Learney, Vice-President and General Manager of Haskel, said, “Haskel are proud to be working with Coregas to support the adoption of hydrogen technology in Australia’s transport sector.”
