Leading global hydrogen publication and services provider H2 View has launched a dynamic new training platform to help address the growing skills gap in the expanding hydrogen business.
Branded Class of H2, the platform provides knowledge and business rationale for the hydrogen economy via a series of training modules designed to bring an individual’s hydrogen fundamentals up-to-speed.
At a time when hydrogen is the new gold rush for so many investors and start-ups alike, the current skills gap in hydrogen risks becoming a skills gulf.
It’s not only the science behind hydrogen that needs to be addressed, but the need to identify the business case, sense-check the opportunity, and find the best fit in this evolving marketplace.
H2 View – sister publication of gasworld – aims to address this with its Class of H2 interactive modules, where users can access a ‘masterclass’ of hydrogen knowledge and expertise, either through individual classes or as part of a package of training.
gasworld Editorial Advisory Board member Stephen B. Harrison, Managing Director of sbh4 consulting, is the official trainer for the new series and brings more than 30 years’ experience of industrial and specialty gases, hydrogen and increasingly, decarbonisation pathways.
He will bring this wealth of knowledge to six inaugural training modules, comprised of:
- Hydrogen 101: An introduction to hydrogen and the hydrogen value chain
- An introduction to hydrogen derivatives: e-fuels and green ammonia
- Electrolysis, reforming, and gasification: Key pathways for low-carbon and green hydrogen production
- Turquoise hydrogen technologies, methane pyrolysis and solid carbon
- Biomass as a pathway to green and low-carbon hydrogen
- High-capacity underground hydrogen storage for energy and power balancing
All six modules will take place in the week commencing 2nd October (2023), with bookings now open and corporate packages available for bookings of more than five individuals. Users can pay to attend individual modules, a package of three or the full series of six courses.
