GOW-MAC Instrument Co., a Pennsylvanian-based manufacturer of gas chromatographs and gas analysers has received ISO 9001:2008 certification. The accreditation came thanks to ‘total commitment from the entire company’.
Frank Rocchino, Director of Compliance and Documentation at GOW-MAC, explained, “GOW-MAC has been producing high-precision analytical instrumentation for over 75 years, so the concept of ‘quality’ is certainly something that was a fundamental component of our culture.”
“However, conforming an entire company’s Quality Management System to meet the stringent ISO 9001:2008 Standard requires a total commitment from the entire company. We were fortunate to have unwavering support from top management, as well as an enthusiastic response from the employees during the entire process. Without both of those, this project would’ve been impossible.”
Ken Fincke, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GOW-MAC, added, “Those manufacturers seeking to access new markets largely need ISO 9001:2008 accreditation in place to do so. The certification allows us to move quickly on to the next phase of our product development.”
