The Government of the Netherlands is to invest €300m in a series of measures aimed at reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in the country.
An investment of €15m in the transport sector will go towards introducing hydrogen (H2) fuel-cell buses, lorries and vans, and building seven H2 filling stations in 2018.
In a press release, the Government of the Netherlands said it is taking these CO2 reduction measures in anticipation of a new national climate and energy agreement and also to help achieve the goal of 49% lower carbon emissions in the Netherlands by 2030.
Last month a new H2 station was launched in Groningen to help “realise 100% clean transport in Europe by 2030”.
