At gasworld’s Helium Super Summit in Houston, Global Gases has announced the opening of a new helium transfill facility in Bintulu, East Malaysia.
The facility is part of Global Gases’ growing network of 12 transfill plants worldwide and strengthens the company’s leadership in offshore gases throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Dedicated to supplying diving gases for offshore subsea construction and IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) activities in Sabah, Sarawak, and Brunei Darussalam, the new facility will also supply the local industry with cylinder helium.
The facility meets ISO certifications in quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety (ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001) and adheres to National Oil Companies standards and IMCA guidelines.
It provides DNV 2.7-1 certified cylinder quads, reflecting Global Gases’ commitment to safety and reliability in the demanding offshore sector.

Global Gases’ new site will complement its existing sites in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and Perth, Australia, allowing the company to serve helium customers across Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia.
