Gazprom has started the second train of its Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) in the far southeast of Russia, which is set become a major source for global helium supply.
One of the main products of the Amur GPP is helium, with an annual output of 60 million cubic meters for the product which is used in high-tech industries and electronics.
“The GPP is poised to become the global leader in helium production,” Gazprom said in a statement.
