With flights and logistics impacted, millions of people across North America told to stay indoors amidst air quality concerns, and smoke from Canadian wildfires continuing to drift south, gasworld has postponed its Clean Energies 2.0 conference in New Jersey.
Set to take place from 13-15 June at The Westin Jersey City Newport, the event was just days away and set to tackle the big questions facing the industrial gases business and its role in the energy transition.
With what Canadian officials describe as potentially the nation’s worst wildfires season ever, however, the US East Coast in particular has been plunged into chaos with business, sport, community and health all affected by the smoke that has engulfed the region.
Health and safety and its duty of care to all delegates, as well as its own team, are gasworld’s primary concern and reasons for postponing the Clean Energies 2.0 event.
