Gasum and Scania have opened a new biogas filling station in Södertälje, Sweden, to support greener fuels for transport.
The new station is located adjacent to Scania’s production site and will replace older stations in Järna and Älvsjö, with a greater capacity and reduced refuelling time.
Specifically, the station has two compressed gas dispensers and two liquefied gas dispensers to support both heavy-duty transport and smaller vehicles.
Christian Levin, CEO of Scania and Traton, described biomethane as an important part of Scania’s broad sustainability offering, providing cost-efficient emission cuts as well as circular benefits and increased energy resilience.
