Occupational health specialists in the US are using a device which detects gas species and hazardous materials in work environments.
The device has been developed by Gasmet Technologies, a manufacturer of gas monitoring instruments and systems for industrial and environmental applications based in Finland.
Using Fourier Transfer Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) gas analysis technology to identify and quantify both known and unknown gas species, the Gasmet DX4040 is used in applications where workers could potentially be at risk.
The Gasmet DX4040 is a portable FTIR gas analyser, enabling laboratory grade analysis onsite, which allows contamination to be assessed instantly, and avoids extra costs and delays associated with transporting samples.
