KBR Inc, the Houston-based engineering, construction and services company, has reportedly been awarded a $225m contract to construct and fabricate a gasification unit in Canada for Lurgi AG, a recently acquired subsidiary of Air Liquide.
The company will fabricate around 100 modules for the French industrial gases firm’s subsidiary and its project in Edmonton, Alberta.
KBR expects to begin work on the project as early as next year.
