Industrial gas supplier Gaschema is at the final stage of installing a new carbon dioxide (CO2) production line in Achema Fertilisers plant in Jonava, Lithuania.
More than €4m ($4.9m) expansion investment will add a second food-grade recovery and purification line and expand CO2 storage capacity up to 1000 tonnes.
Under this new investment, Gaschema CO2 liquefaction and purification lines will reach a total production capacity of 200 tonnes per day – a potential recovery of 70,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum.
