Galileo Technologies has partnered with Canada’s Saint John LNG, a fully owned subsidiary of global energy company Repsol, to address the challenge of boil-off gas, a part of normal operations in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry.
Under terms of a signed agreement, Galileo Technologies will design, fabricate, and install eight boil-off gas compressors, 15 Cryobox™ units, and associated utility packages for the Canadian LNG project.
With the technology, it is hoped that the project could re-liquefy around 10 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas, the equivalent to 120,000 gallons of LNG.
Courtney Jones, General Manager at Saint John LNG, described the project as a significant investment in the future of the company’s operations.
