Oil-free centrifugal air and gas compressors manufacturer FS-Elliot has launched an expanded range of FSE-TurboCool® lubricants and additives. The products are designed to improve lubrication, enhance compressor performance and extend equipment lifespan, addressing growing demands for efficiency and reliability in industrial applications.
The expanded line includes synthetic and mineral-based lubricants as well as additives to reduce wear, minimise varnish formation, and boost durability. Among the offerings are:
– FSE-TurboCool 32 & 46: Gas-to-liquids synthetic lubricants designed for extreme operating conditions.
– FSE-TurboCool PG: A polyglycerol-based option targeting environmentally conscious operations.
– FSE-TurboCool FG: A mineral oil suitable for food-grade applications.
– FSE-TurboCool CC: An additive that extends the performance of existing lubricants.
“FSE-TurboCool is designed to help operators achieve reliable performance and reduce maintenance requirements,” said Roger Beavans, Product Manager at FS-Elliott.
The global centrifugal compressor market, valued at approximately $24 billion in 2023 according to a report by Market Research Future, is projected to grow steadily due to rising industrial demand and the transition to more sustainable energy systems.
Oil-free centrifugal compressors offer distinct advantages over conventional models that rely on oil for lubrication. By eliminating the risk of oil contamination, oil-free compressors are ideal for applications demanding high purity, such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, and electronics manufacturing.
They also reduce maintenance requirements associated with oil management, including frequent oil changes and disposal, which can lower operating costs. Additionally, oil-free designs enhance energy efficiency by reducing mechanical losses, making them a preferred choice for sustainable industrial operations.
