Having taken place last year from 30th November to 12th December 2023, the UN’s 28th Conference of Parties – or COP28 – offered a chance for global acceleration in renewable energy adoption and the reduction of fossil fuel emissions.
The summit witnessed pledges on finance, food systems, renewable energy, coal reduction and saw support from major oil and gas companies for carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane reduction.
