Five European companies become part of the Atlas Copco Group

Atlas Copco has today (2nd Oct) announced the acquisition of five European companies, which will now join various business areas of the company.

Two of the acquired companies have joined the Compressor Technique business area, two have joined the Power Technique business area, and one has joined the Vacuum Technique business area.

Italy-based Easy Filtration SLR and Portugal-based Arlógica Máquinas e Equipamentos are the two companies joining the Compressor Technique business area.

Easy Filtration is a distributor of process filters and associated services. Founded in 2013, the company has nine employees and serves customers within the industrial coatings, chemical, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Specifically, the business will be part of the medical solutions division.

The second company to join the Compressor Technique business, within the compressor technique division, is Arlógica.

Arlógica was founded in 1980 and has been part of the Pinto Brasil Group since 2008. The company offers sales and service of compressors and ancillaries and has recently begun to represent the Atlas Copco brand.

“This acquisition will allow us to strengthen the Atlas Copco brand presence in Portugal, especially in the regions of Porto and Braga,” said Philippe Ernens, President of Atlas Copco’s Compress Technique business.

Kinder-James Engineers and Pomac BV will join Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area. Based in the UK, Kinder-James is an industrial pump distributor and had revenues of £12.5m ($16.6m) in 2023.

Pomac is a Dutch manufacturer of hygienic pumps that are used globally among several industries. The company will become part of the Power and Flow division within the Power Technique business area.

The fifth transaction of Atlas Copco is the purchase of ESA Service S.r.l, which will join the Scientific Vacuum division within the Vacuum Technique business area.

Headquartered in Treviglio, Italy, ESA Service is a manufacturer of leak detection and gas recovery systems. The company has 40 employees and had revenues of €10.3m ($11.4m) in 2023.

Geert Follens, President of Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Technique business area, said, “Through this acquisition we further strengthen our leak detection core knowledge as well as gaining a leak detection and gas recovery systems manufacturer in Europe.”

The purchase price of any of the transactions was not disclosed.
