Local news in China recently reported that the first pressure swing adsorption (PSA) unit for oxygen generation installed in an ambulance in the country has now been put into service.
The unit is specifically designed for an ambulance from a Shanghai hospital.
The PSA unit is developed and provided by Shandong Kehua Healthcare Technology Co. Ltd (Kehua), a company based in Jinan, the provincial capital of Shandong province.
The PSA was designed with the aim to replace the use of oxygen cylinders in ambulances, because any traffic jam or long distance travel might result in deficiency of oxygen and lead to tragedy, as explained by a spokesman from Kehua.
