FERC gives the go ahead for Venture Global’s CP2 LNG facility

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved Venture Global’s CP2 LNG facility, located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

CP2 LNG will be the second LNG export project developed by Venture Global LNG in Cameron Parish, with the first being the Calcasieu Pass project.

Together, the projects represent more than $10bn of direct investment.

Once operational, Venture Global’s CP2 will have a nameplate capacity of 20 million tonnes per annum. The initial phase capacity of CP2 has already been sold through 20-year sales agreements.
