Carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) goals were outlined in the 32nd Annual General Meeting of the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM), which was held in New Delhi.
The meeting featured a panel discussion on ‘Meeting Net Zero Target – India Embarking on CCUS Mission,’ where Atanu Mukherjee, President and CEO of Dastur Energy, spoke on the role that CCUS technologies could play in India’s journey towards achieving its Net Zero emissions goal.
The panel brought together leading voices from industry and government, including Mukherjee; Dr. V.K. Saraswat, Member of NITI Aayog, Government of India; Anil Bhatia, CEO of Emerson India; and Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell India.
The discussion underlined the importance of collaboration between India and the US in advancing India’s energy transition and highlighted the potential of CCUS technologies.
