Exclusive: New facilities strengthen NAH’s helium output

At a time when helium supply remains firmly in the headlines, 2024 has been another year punctuated by high growth for Canada-based North American Helium (NAH).

Founded in 2013, NAH has been committed to the exploration and production of helium from underground fields of inert nitrogen, to replace declining legacy helium sources in North America, with more reliable and  sustainable sources that are still geopolitically secure.

The company brought two new production facilities online again this year, marking its eighth and ninth plants corporately. To support future growth, it continues to actively explore in several new geographic areas of its nine million acre land base in Saskatchewan – running what it describes as the most active exploration program in the industry.

Chairman and CEO Nick Snyder will be a speaker at the Helium Super Summit in Houston this October, taking part in a session otherwise dominated by major players in helium such as Air Liquide, Linde and Messer – underlining NAH’s elevation in both the helium conversation and its standing in the industry. “As always, we’re excited to be back at the gasworld Helium Super Summit. It’s always a great opportunity to speak with customers and other industry stakeholders,” he enthused. “There really isn’t any other event like it in the helium space, and it’s important to understand the needs and challenges that firms are facing so that our company can better support some of those needs.”
