2023 is set to be a big year for Royal Helium. The helium exploration and development company is set to start producing volumes in the coming months, at a time of high market demand, and is striving to grow its global footprint beyond North America.
Helping to support these plans growing from paper to fruition is David Young, the company’s new Vice-President and Head of US Operations. Appointed earlier this month (May 2023), Young has a big task at his hands, but is more than ready for the challenge.
“I’m really excited to join Royal Helium at this pivotal inflection point of their development cycle,” Young tells gasworld in an exclusive interview. “There’s a global arms race for helium, if you will, and demand for use cases continues to grow.”
In his new role at the Canadian company, Young will work alongside Royal’s CEO Andrew Davidson to determine ways to develop the company’s geological domain, while also working to further delineate prospective development plays.
