EVōLOH will start commercial scale demonstrations of its Nautilus platform this year and targeting factory production from the third quarter of 2025, delegates attending the gasworld Decarbonisation Summit heard in New Jersey last week.
Art Shirley, Chief Commercial Officer, said it intends to bring two products to market, a 1 MW stack and 24 MW module, suitable for large industrial applications, which will fit into a 40-foot shipping container.
The company’s headquarters are in Santa Clara but its main manufacturing centre is in Lowell, Massachusetts, which will have capacity of up to 3.75 GW and utilise ‘advanced liquid alkaline technology’.
“People often ask me ‘why the opposite sides of the country?’, well Lowell is in the electro-chemistry triangle of North America,” he said. “We have plans for a 5 MW stack and 50 MW module in future.”
