The European Commission has given the go ahead to a €246m Dutch scheme to support the production of renewable hydrogen.
Approved under EU State aid rules, the scheme aims to accelerate the development of green hydrogen in line with the objectives of the EU Hydrogen Strategy and the European Green Deal.
According to the EU, it will also contribute to the end of dependence on Russian fossil fuels under the REPowerEU Plan by supporting the construction of at least 60MW (megawatts) of electrolysis capacity.
