As global carbon dioxide (CO2) markets grapple with increasingly volatile conditions, supply shortages continue to threaten the industry. Intensified by record gas prices, squeezed margins in ammonia markets, temporary plant closures, maintenance downtime, depleted storage levels and a lack of urgency in CO2 recovery projects, the entire supply chain has been left reeling by this perfect storm of dynamics.
But, with new challenges come new opportunities, many of which will be explored during gasworld’s Europe CO2 Summit 2023 to be held at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol resort located on the Seefeld high plateau between March 7-8.
Following an opening keynote by Eduardo Gil Elejoste, President at Nippon Gases Europe, the first session will kick off with a talk on Ammonia Markets in 2023 presented by Jennifer Willis-Jones of Fertiliser Weekly.
Next up, Christopher Carson, Managing Director at BioCarbonics Limited will discuss the CO2 Supply Chain in 2022/2023, while Jose Ramon Calvo, Marketing Director at Nippon Gases EuroHoldings will round off the session with a talk entitled ‘Navigating the Supply Chain in Europe’.
