Maryland-based welding company ESAB Corporation has signed an agreement to acquire the welding business of Linde Bangladesh.
Linde Industries Private Limited (LIPL) is Linde’s Bangladesh welding consumables and equipment business and it generated around $20m in sales in 2023.
ESAB’s acquisition marks its third purchase this year. In February, ESAB acquired Sager, a South American welding repair and maintenance specialist. In April, it made another acquisition in South America by purchasing SUMIG.
Shyam Kambeyanda, President and CEO of ESAB, said, “Bangladesh is a fast growing and attractive market and the LIPL acquisition further strengthens our ability to serve our end markets and customers in the region.
