Upscaling a business can be a challenge at the best of times, but branching into new niches can be even more complex. This is something that North Carolina-based Equigas has navigated through this year with its acquisition of Correct Cryogenics.
Traditionally, Equigas is an equipment distributor; its catalogue has some well-recognised manufacturers and has evolved over time to meet market demands. In 2024, however, the company diversified its business to also include tank rehabilitation, trailer maintenance, and plant expansions, entering uncharted territory.
“Equigas’ acquisition of Correct Cryogenics in California has been an invaluable opportunity for growth, allowing us to greatly expand our offerings,” Rafael Arvelo, President of Equigas, tells gasworld.
