Global technology company EQTEC has announced the successful completion of steam-oxygen gasification tests carried out alongside the Energy from Biomass and Wastes team at the Université de Lorraine.
Taken out of the company’s Biogaz Gardanne project, the tests show that steam-oxygen gasification technology can be applied at commercial scale on plants seeking to produce advanced biofuels.
The tests were undertaken at the company’s LERMAB facility, essentially a smaller version of a commercial-scale plant with end-to-end capabilities for feedstock conversion into synthesis gas (syngas).
