CH2M HILL Engineers, has been awarded a contract for the Alaska LNG Project to provide certain pre-FEED (Front End Engineering Design) support services for the LNG Marine Facilities in the Nikiski area on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska.
The Alaska LNG Project, being progressed by the state-supported Alaska Gasline Development Corp., and affiliates of BP, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil and TransCanada, would include the Nikiski area export facilities, an 800-mile gas pipeline from the North Slope, a gas treatment plant and transmission lines connecting the project to gas producing fields. The Alaska LNG Project would be one of the most significant infrastructure and energy projects in Alaska, the United States and all of North America.
