Process technology specialist Lummus Technology (Lummus) has joined forces with Biohydrogen Technologies to develop and deploy advanced synthesis gas reactor technology to produce blue hydrogen.
Equipped with a strong background in developing sustainable technological solutions, Lummus will provide its expertise in hydrogen and synthesis gas plant design, reactor scale-up and design, and equipment supply to Biohydrogen Technologies.
According to the company, its technology is more efficient, cheaper and more sustainable than comparative solutions. Lummus also claims that its technology can capture more than 99% of the CO2 at pressure – a feature that aligns with the company’s commitment to accelerate and scale technologies that lower CO2 emissions.
“As the world looks for solutions to generate significant quantities of hydrogen for energy use while lowering CO2 emissions, Lummus is proud to partner with Biohydrogen Technologies to address this critical challenge for our industry and society,” commented Leon de Bruyn, President and CEO of Lummus Technology.
