Energie Baden-Württemberg (EnBW) is now marketing 100,000 metric tonnes (MT) of green ammonia from the Skipavika Green Ammonia (SkiGA) project in western Norway.
Volumes are planned to be available from 2027, a year after the NOK4 billion plant’s projected opening, and can be transported to various delivery locations, such as the port of Skipavika in Norway, to selected terminals in Western Europe or industrial sites. Interested companies should register online from today (July 26) to bid for the corresponding capacity.
SkiGA is a joint venture between technology company Fuella and Skipavika Innovation. By using local green electricity, SkiGA is one of Europe’s first emission-free green ammonia production facilities.
The planned electrolyser has an output of 130 megawatts (MW), which will cut annual carbon emissions by around 240,000 MT compared with gray ammonia.
