Energy technology company Enapter AG (Enapter) is supporting Tokyo Gas in implementing Japan’s hydrogen strategy transition following its delivery of electrolysers and dryers for a hydrogen refuelling station in Tokyo, Japan.
The 30 AEM EL 2.1 electrolysers and 15 DRY 2.1 dryers will be integrated into Tokyo Gas’ ‘Senju’ station – the first commercial hydrogen refuelling station using AEM electrolysis in Asia.
Integration of the electrolysers was led by partner Inabata & Co, which also plans to explore the potentual use of hydrogen together with Tokyo Gas to implement further projects in the country.
As part of Japan’s drive to decarbonise industry and society, it plans to install 1,000 hydrogen filling stations for fuel cell vehicles throughout the country by 2030.
