Edwards Vacuum, a UK-based vacuum manufacturer, is set to unveil two new vacuum pumps which are aimed at the analytical instrument and research and development markets.
First to be introduced is the new nEXT85 turbomolecular pump, which builds upon Edwards’ previous model, the EXT75DX, by reducing its size whilst maintaining performance levels. It delivers field serviceability and innate intelligence with options for customised applications such as split flow.
Edwards will also launch its new air cooled single phase nXLi dry pump range, based on its iXL semiconductor pump suited for the scientific sector. This pump series can operate gas loads of up to 25 standard litres per minute (slm) and is optimised for liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry duties, amongst other scientific applications.
With these new products…we are able to offer a comprehensive range of vacuum solutions that enhance performance across a broad range of scientific applications
A press release stated, “The new pumps will further strengthen Edwards’ capability to supply a totally customised vacuum package from atmospheric pumping through to ultra-high vacuum.”
