Two new semiconductor manufacturing facilities have today (13th Dec) been opened by vacuum products developer Edwards, in Arizona and Massachusetts.
Part of the Atlas Copco Group, Edwards said the new sites would support the fast-growing North American semiconductor market and create hundreds of new jobs
The 200,00 sq ft Chandler, Arizona facility will provide remanufacturing and assembly of vacuum pumps and other equipment that is needed for semiconductor fab requirements.
Cryopump manufacturing and R&D will be the focus in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
