Leading vacuum equipment manufacturer Edwards has announced the appointment of Michael Allison as sales and service director, semiconductor and solar, contributing to the company’s growth strategy through experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
Having previously been Worldwide Vice President of business operations at KLA-Tencor Corporation, this is a new position within Edwards for Allison, aimed at focussing resources on the needs of its customers in the semiconductor vacuum and abatement market and the rapidly expanding solar industry.
Nigel Hunton, Chief Executive Officer of Edwards, commented, “Michael has extensive senior level experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry covering the US, Europe and Asia. His knowledge and experience of managing change and developing successful sales and service businesses will make a significant contribution to our growth strategy.”
