Netherlands-based DIF Capital Partners (DIF) will acquire a majority interest in leading Dutch developer of large-scale sustainable energy systems Novar as part of a long-term partnership to deliver sustainable renewable energy solutions.
Having acquired 60% of Novar, DIF aims to provide growth capital to support the expansion of Novar’s 440 MW (megawatts) of utility-scale solar, rooftop solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) portfolio.
Equipped with a development project pipeline of more than 15 GW (gigawatts), the Groningen-headquartered Novar is currently developing the largest private grid project in the Netherlands, which will provide grid connection for its large-scale solar and BESS projects.
