Desert Mountain Energy is one step closer to having its West Pecos helium processing plant up and running next month (November 2023), having confirmed that all the necessary components have now been delivered.
On July 1, 2023, Desert Mountain Energy acquired the New Mexico-based location. The asset was acquired for a cash price of $2.5m and includes 188 natural gas wells, 50 miles of collection system, and 120 square miles of contiguous oil and gas leases, with the potential of drilling an additional 70 to 100 wells.

During the flow line work carried out in the latter part of July, and throughout August and September 2023, gas sales were intermittently halted for a total of 10 days. Since the completion of that initial work, production levels have increased.
