Desert Mountain Energy has started-up production at its helium processing plant on the West Pecos Field in New Mexico.
The Canadian exploration and production company is now separating helium from its natural gas stream at the West Pecos Field and transferring it into off-take trailers.
Now operational, the plant has an initial capacity to process around 960,000 cubic feet of gas per day, with this capacity set to gradually increase with plant re-designs.
During the start-up phase, Desert Mountain Energy will focus on optimisation and potential programming improvements, with an estimated duration of 60-90 days.
