Helium companies are already feeling the heat from the market, but when you add an operational move to New Mexico into the mix then things can get busier than usual. This is something that Desert Mountain Energy – DME for short – has recently dealt with when it shifted its assets in search of some speedy revenues.
The helium exploration and development company began to pivot its business to New Mexico with an impressive $2.5m in-state acquisition.
Don Mosher, President of DME, explains, “In June of this year, we looked at a natural gas asset in the state that had helium values in the field. We decided that if we could not move forward quickly enough with our work elsewhere, we would pursue that chance in New Mexico.”
