The revolutionary zero-emission refrigeration system from clean and cold technology company, Dearman, has successfully completed its test programme.
The system and the truck, that has been used throughout the testing, has spent several months underdoing durability and ‘real-world’ simulation testing, with a press release from the company stating that they achieved an “impressive performance.”
Nick Owen, Chief Technology Officer, explained, “The system completed a pull-down to -20°C recently, from winter ambient temperature, in around 30 minutes. This speed, combined with high efficiency, should see the system outperform existing diesel technologies, and improve air quality.”
It’s always a pleasure to see an ingenious piece of ground-breaking engineering performing well – and this really does.
The system is powered by a zero-emission Gen2 Dearman engine, which is driven by the rapid expansion of liquid nitrogen (N2), and is 30% lighter, smaller and more efficient than previous prototypes.
