Cryogenmash produces new hydrogen storage facilities for Linde

0

In the first deal of its type between Europe and Russia, Cryogenmash has fabricated two cryogenic tanks to be used by Linde for storage and delivery of liquid hydrogen. Each tank’s capacity is 250 m3 of liquid hydrogen at a pressure of 2.5 bar, and is crafted to the highest technical standards..

Cryogenmash say their scientists, engineers, designers, worked hard to successfully fulfil the strict technical demands made by Linde. Both tanks design falls within the framework of instruction AD-2000 and norms EN 97/23 at all stages – from the development to manufacture of this unique equipment.

Upon completion of the project representatives of Linde and engineers of TUV bureau carried out acceptance of the equipment. During product testing the tanks have shown themselves to be among the best in the world in terms of thermal insulation for their class.

As a result, the first TUV Certificates have been issued in Russia for these tanks that give the right for their use in EU. To deliver the equipment from Russia to Germany the specialists of Cryogenmash have also developed and manufactured a unique fastening system allowing transportation of a large-sized cargo by railway, road and sea transport.
