Praxair, a Linde company, has delivered oxygen cylinders to a remote city in the middle of the Amazon jungle following a coronavirus outbreak.
Located on the border between Brazil, Columbia and Peru, the city of Tabatinga, which has a population on 66,000, is only accessible by boat or plane meaning the industrial gas company had to come up with an alternative delivery method.
Praxair’s White Martins supplied the city with a double supply of cylinders by two Brazilian Air Force planes to help them during the pandemic.
“The request arrived on Thursday and, on Sunday, the gases were already available at the hospital for consumption,” explains Petrônio Bastos, Executive Manager of the Amazonas and Roraima Business Units.
