A company on a mission to eliminate maritime pollution has begun construction of Water-Go-Round – the first-of-its-kind hydrogen (H2) fuel cell boat.
Golden Gate Zero Emission Marine (GGZEM) last week held a keel laying ceremony, a celebrated tradition of laying down the backbone of a vessel, which is a milestone in making a ship come to life.
The 70ft catamaran is being built by Bay Ship and Yacht and is expected to be complete by September 2019. It will showcase the advantages of H2 fuel cells for the commercial maritime industry.
