Carbon dioxide has complex supply chains, but selling it effectively comes back to serving the customer “heroically,” and with the right business culture.

That was the message from Abydee Butler Moore, President and CEO of Butler Gas, the Pittsburgh-based industrial gas distributor, in her keynote address to delegates that kicked off the Wednesday presentations at gasworld’s North American CO2 Summit 2024 in Nashville.

“When you work in complex markets, with intricate supply chains, it is easy to lose sight of the basics around looking after people – but it comes back to that,” said Butler Moore.

“If you keep the customer at the centre of the CO2 ecosystem that’s good business – good for the customer and good for your organisation and how it runs.”
